Elsewhere Browser
A home for everything you’re doing. A doorway to everything you’re missing.
An ambitious attempt to rethink the web browser around focus, organization, curiosity, and internet discovery.

We’re bringing together creative people to explore ideas, build ambitious things, and see where they take us. Independent, collaborative, and based in Los Angeles.
§ 01What is Elsewhere?
Elsewhere is a small, independent studio taking shape in Los Angeles. The idea is simple: bring together people who are good at what they do and interested in everything else, pick ideas that genuinely fascinate us, and make them real — with care, and with each other.
We’re drawn to the places where technology meets design, culture, and everyday life. Sometimes that means useful software. Sometimes an experimental product, an odd little tool, or something made simply because it deserves to exist.
Some experiments may grow into meaningful products, even companies. Others will teach us something, turn out beautiful, or lead somewhere none of us expected.
Both outcomes are worthwhile.

No. 02 — not yet written
Elsewhere welcomes ideas from the people who join it. The next experiment could easily be yours — an idea you’ve been carrying around, waiting for the right people.
The machine on the right shuffles writing prompts. Nothing it suggests is in the works, but give it a spin and see what it shakes loose.
The idea machine
A field guide for people who collect sounds, that only works outdoors.

§ 03How we work
Right now Elsewhere is a small group just getting started in LA. The plan is to meet regularly, bring ideas, prototype things, share what we’re learning, and enjoy each other’s company along the way.
These are intentions for now. We’ll shape the details with whoever shows up.
The model is flexible on purpose. What we care about is the quality of the people, the ideas, and the work. Experiments are allowed to stay experiments.
Long afternoons of making things side by side. Bring a laptop, a sketchbook, or a half-formed idea.
Short, focused pushes to turn an idea into something you can actually click, hold, or show someone.
Teach each other things — a tool, a technique, a way of seeing.
Show what you’ve made, finished or not. Extra applause for the gloriously unfinished.
Museums, bookshops, hikes, a taco truck. Good ideas need fresh air and a change of scenery.
§ 04A short manifesto
The world is more interesting than our algorithms suggest.
Good things are better made together.
Good technology gives you your time back.
§ 05Join Elsewhere
We’re gathering a small group of designers, engineers, artists, writers, and builders in LA to explore collaborative experiments — starting with the browser. Bring a project of your own, or lend your hands to one already in motion. Either way, it starts with a conversation.
